Lucy Letby, a former neonatal nurse convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven others, said "I'm innocent" out loud in court on July 5th, 2024, right after she was handed her final whole-life sentence following a retrial. She has been maintaining innocence in prison since November 2020.
