Poem: 'NPCs' by Michael Naughton

empowerinnocent

NPCs

Walking contradictions

Real life truth or dare

Classic doublethinking

Where no one really cares

We used to call them zombies

Now it’s NPCs

It matters not the moniker

For a widespread brain disease

Most gravitate to the loudest voice

The side with the greatest number

Integrity is always sacrificed

In the fight between dumb and dumber

If you deign to get involved

To try to set things right

Both sides quickly turn on you

Bombarding with gaslight

So, if they try to troll you

With their soliloquies and lies

Remember what Shaw told us

About wrestling pigs in sties
